I am married, in my late thirties, have a couple of kids and a day job that pays well and keeps me occupied most of the time. I have been playing World of Warcraft (WoW) since June 2008 and frankly, simply love the game. I’ve been scouting around for a while and have not been able to find similar minded folks among from my friends, nor good blogs or sites in India which offer content oriented towards gamers like me. The average age of a WoW gamer from India appears to be 19, or at least not more than 23. The issues they deal with as well as the gaming style they use seem to be markedly different from mine. I mean, they don’t really face problems like trying to run away from five mobs while rocking their infant son’s cradle with their free hand, do they?
I had – still have – lots of questions about the game. The setup, the gameplay, the lore, pretty much every single detail. While I could get most of my answers from amazing sites like WowWiki orWowhead, I couldn’t really find information specific to gamers from India.
This blog is an attempt to chronicle my adventures in WoW. At the very least, it will help me get some perspective. Hopefully, it might help others like me, few and far between they may be.
